Skin Peel
TREATMENT AREAS
To be used topically on the face, neck,
décolletage and/or forearms.
TREATMENT DURATION
Recommended 4+ treatments (dependent
on skin type) 2-3 weeks apart for optimal
results.
SUITABLE FOR
A patient aged 18+, skin type 1-6, who
is trying to tackle inactive acne, acne
scarring or marks, folliculitis, light ageing,
pigmentation, and/or large pores.
INGREDIENTS
Salicylic acid 8%, Resorcinol
4%, Trichloracetic acid 3%,
Silica, Denaturated alcohol,
Glycerine, Propylene glycol.
TREATMENT PROTOCOL
After careful consultation and assessing
of the patient’s skin type, use a brush
or gloved finger to apply a thin layer of
gel onto the skin. Leave for a maximum
of 4 minutes. The product will begin
to crystalise. When the affected area
is crystalised, the peeling process is
complete. Remove the crystallisation using
the SKINPROJECT Nanopeel Remover Gel.
This is a guide to timings only. Application
time depends on the skin’s redness and
patient’s pain tolerance level..
DOWNTIME
The procedure may cause mild erythema
and flaking of the skin. These sensations
will gradually diminish over the course of
a week as the skin returns to its normal
appearance. However, some patients
react differently.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
SKINPROJECT Nanopeel SRT must not
be used on pregnant or breastfeeding
women or on people allergic to
ingredients in the product. Therapies
based on oral or topical retinoids can
increase the depth and effects of peeling;
therefore, the use of these topical agents
must be discontinued at least 7 days
prior to the peeling treatment. Patients
undergoing therapy with agents (drugs
such as Warfarin, heparin, aspirin,
NSAIDS) or blood thinning agents may
experience bleeding or eschar formation.
Please consult your doctor if you are
receiving prescribed medication for a skin
condition.
Warnings: SKINPROJECT Nanopeel SRT
should not be used on patients with
an active skin disease. Never apply
the product on areas with erythema,
inflammation, irritation, or abrasion. The
peeling should not be used together
with other cosmetic treatments such
as microdermabrasion, electrolysis,
depilatories, hair removal lasers, waxing
or bleaching agents. A patient who not is
willing to comply with the photo protective
requirements noted in the post-treatment
instructions should not be given the
treatment.
TRAINING REQUIRED
Certificate in chemical peels.
